This experiential and dynamic workshop for doula training offers a human values preparation for childbirth that empowers women to give birth and includes:

  • The art of interviewing in prenatal visits
  • Importance of Silence
  • Helping women in labor to feel safe
  • The doula’s role in normal and difficult labors
  • Components of labor: reframing pain, privacy, vocalization
  • Pelvic bodywork applied to optimal labor positions
  • Practicing human values to empower women in birth
  • Integration of the mind, body, and spirit at birth
  • Relationships with mothers and their impact on birth
  • Role-playing using open visualization techniques and birth mantras
  • Breastfeeding and fetal brain wiring
  • Long term impact of the birth experiences

Trainer: Liz O’Shea

Cost: $395 certifying attendees and $450 non-certifying attendee
